On June 2nd, 2026, players were taken to [[User:Discoo|Discoo's]] Wolf Cave in [[Domain]] and were shocked by the ridiculous number of dogs.

While players were amazed at the amount, they soon realized that their ping was rising and their fps was dropping fast. Players began to experience high amounts of lag and chat delay. Pings were reaching highs of 40k. A few players even crashed, leading to the event being called "The Dog Cave DDOS."

This all began because one of [[User:Discoo|Discoo's]] dogs was somehow at [[User:EggBot751|EggBot751's]] base and he brought his dog back to his base. He then brought the players to [[Domain]] and that's when the incident occurred.

By utilizing the ChestShop plugin, players can create their own shops to buy/sell items/blocks. By selling items/blocks you've collected to other players, you can also earn an income.

Although you can create your own ChestShop anywhere, it is recommended to find an empty stall at <code>/warp [https://betamc.org/wiki/index.php/Mall Mall]</code> as it is convenient to get to, and most players go there to buy/sell items currently.

To create a ChestShop, place a chest or doublechest, then place a sign next to it with the following syntax. Please note, each bullet point below represents a newline on the sign:

On Nov 9th 2024, I was promoted to Developer as I agreed to work on a staff client for the server. Ultimately, I didn't end up working on it since I wasn't very experienced in mod development, and until the move to the new VPS I didn't do much dev work.

On Dec 11th 2024 the hard drive in the VPS used by BetaMC at the time which belonged to Owen2k6 (this was before the server launch) had a hard drive failure upon which the map was lost. [[User:Jcheese7|jcheese7]] ended up renting a dedicated OVH VPS, and I was given Operator due to my knowledge of using Linux.

The Shriners are a group on the server trying to find every shrine, and set up a stargate to them. The diamond block donation shops and the main stargate can be accessed at spawn town to the left of the mall entrance.

== Finding Shrines ==
As the server overworld stops at 50k out from spawn in a square, the shrines are within this 100k x 100k square. When traveling though new terrain, around a 200 block diameter can be seen by the player. This means that around 500 perfect walks are required to find all shrines. There is only around 0.2% chance per unknown shrine, the percentage is larger where there are more unknown shrines. This percentage is the chance find a shrine if you travel like this from one world border to the other, and 0.1% chance if you start from spawn and go to the world border. It's currently unknown if shrines spawn on water or underwater. Maps are basically useless to check what terrain has been generated due to being very buggy. The recent shrine findings might indicate that shrines get rarer if it's over atleast 15k blocks from spawn.

== The Shriners Project ==
The Shriners are a group on the server trying to find every shrine, and set up a stargate to them. The diamond block donation shops and the main stargate can be accessed at spawn town to the left of the mall entrance.

== Finding Shrines ==
As the server overworld stops at 50k out from spawn in a square, the shrines are within this 100k x 100k square. When traveling though new terrain, around a 200 block diameter can be seen by the player. This means that around 500 perfect walks are required to find all shrines. There is only around 0.2% chance per unknown shrine, the percentage is larger where there are more unknown shrines. This percentage is the chance find a shrine if you travel like this from one world border to the other, and 0.1% chance if you start from spawn and go to the world border. It's currently unknown if shrines spawn on water or underwater. Maps are basically useless to check what terrain has been generated due to being very buggy. The recent shrine findings might indicate that shrines get rarer if it's over atleast 15k blocks from spawn.
